Waterbabies Swim School is happy to offer easy online registration for all of our swim classes. Tuition is charged on a per session basis and may vary based upon the number of classes available in a session.  Therefore, the number of classes received in a session will vary depending on the day you choose to attend.  For your convenience we offer perpetual enrollment in our monthly maintenance session. Once enrolled, your child will be in lessons until we receive notice indicating otherwise (Please see How to Withdraw from a Class below).

On the first day of a new session enrolled students will be automatically enrolled into the next session. For New Enrollment PAYMENT is DUE Immediately. For continuing Students, payment is due one week after start of a new session at which time all accounts will be charged with credit card on file for the next session. If you have no form of payment in your account you must have payment in our office on this day or may pay via our website to protect your spot. www.waterbabiesswimschool.com (Login to your user account)

Accounts with no payment after one week into new session will be removed from next session to allow for families on wait lists to enroll and current paid students to find new slots. No payment will also be considered your 30 day notice to drop from next session.

Make-ups
We want all of our students to receive their lessons at their scheduled class time, so we do not encourage make-ups. Our instructors are here waiting for you at your scheduled time and making sure your class is the best possible environment for your child! However, if you must miss a class, please see the following:

  • We offer makeup days as follows: 1 Day per week of class time = 1 Make Day Per Session; 2 Days per week of class time = 2 Make Up Days per Session.  All make days are to be made up within current session.
  • To receive make-ups, lessons must be cancelled in advance, not just missed. The number of make-ups your swimmer will receive is equal to the number of days per week they swim (ex: if your child swims 1 day/wk., they are allowed 1 make-up every month regardless of the number of absences they have).  If you do not call or email us of absences we can not offer make ups.
  • Customers can schedule a make-up up to 1 week in advance by calling, emailing or stopping by the front desk.
  • All make-ups must be completed within the session they occurred in.
  • Missed make-ups will not be rescheduled.  Schedule make ups after your child is well.
  • Waterbabies Swim School does not offer make-ups for lessons that fall on national holidays resulting in a Waterbabies Swim School closure. Classes will be prorated.

Pool Facilities
The pool at our swimming facility are maintained at a tropical 92 degree temperature year round, and are equipped with a state-of-the art sanitation system which allows your child to swim in a sparkling clean pool without red eyes or itchy skin. In order to maintain the appearance and welcoming atmosphere of our facility, the following are not permitted on the Waterbabies Swim School premises: smoking, alcohol, glass containers, pets and profanity. Our insurance requires a responsible adult to remain on the WATERBABIES SWIM SCHOOL premises for the entirety of the lesson.  Parents can watch their swimmer's classes directly from the pool deck.

  • Responsible adult needs to be at the spa location while child is in the spa.
  • Used only for an after class reward - 20mins max.
  • Eyes on child 100% of the time..
  • No cell phone (talk or texting)

Health Concerns and Swim Diaper Policy
In the interest of the health and safety of all students in our program, Waterbabies Swim School requires all swimmers under the age of 3.5 and children who are not fully potty trained to wear two (2) swim diapers--one permanent swim diaper and one disposable swim diaper.  All swimmers 3.5 yrs. old and younger must be double diapered to take a swim lesson at Waterbabies Swim School.   Please note that if a child has a fecal accident and was not wearing both swim diapers, you will be permanently excused from the program and no refund or credit will be given for remaining lessons. As a courtesy we do have swim diapers available for sale in our office.

  • Children who are not 100% potty trained must wear a swim diaper (See Swim Diaper Policy).
  • Our definition of potty trained is: A child who has the capacity to know when they need to use the restroom and will ask to be let out of the pool to go to the bathroom.
  • Parents will not bring a child to swim class if the child is experiencing intestinal distress or diarrhea.
  • In the event a child has an accident, is potty trained, did not ask to use the restroom and is not wearing a swim diaper, there will be a $250 fine for the first accident. The fine will be increased by $250 for each successive incident per swimmer.
  • Parents are expected to dispose of soiled swim diapers in the proper containers.
  • Parents are expected to assist in cleaning leakage from contaminated areas, i.e. decks, toilets, waiting area, etc. The Waterbabies™ staff will follow up by cleaning and disinfecting The entire pool area and pool.
  • In the event a child has an accident while wearing a swim diaper under their swimsuit, he/she will be required to wear double swim diapers.
  • If a potty-trained child has an accident and fails to communicate the need to use the rest room, they will be required to wear a swim diaper under their swimsuit until the child can communicate the need to use a rest room.
  • If a parent has taken all the necessary precautions and an accident occurs, we will not levy the fine.

Low Enrollment Policy
In the event that there is only one (1) student in a class, please understand you might be required to switch times to properly fill classes.  If you wish to stay in the time slot after management informs you of the need for movement, you will be required to pay for the rate of private or semi-private lessons.

Special Needs
Before beginning lessons, all swimmers must have a Medical Information and Release form on file. This information will be shared ONLY with the people directly responsible for a swimmer's care. To best serve our special needs and special care swimmers, our Staff must be made aware of as much information as possible to properly care for the swimmer. This can be done by filling out the Medical Information and Release Form, and by verbally communicating with our staff. Parents and/or guardians should inform Waterbabies Swim School Staff of any health concerns that arise after lessons have begun.

Goggle Policy

  • All chidren who wear swim goggles, must bring their own pair to class
  • Waterbabies Swim School will no longer provide with FREE PAIR of swim goggles
  • If you forget your goggles you can rent a pair for $2.00.  Failure to return the same day will result in a charge to your account for the full price of a new pair.
  • You can purcharse goggles at Waterbabies Swim School office or at Big Five, Capo Beach. We recommend goggles that are anti-fog, one piece construction with a split strap. Other styles tend to be harder to adjust as well as leak and slip out of place. Snorkeling masks are not permitted as they cover the swimmer's nose and correct breathing patterns are inhibited.

General information and policies

  • Do no allow your child to enter the pool without his/her instructor in the water or before their class times
  • Keep children's finger and toenails cut and filed on a weekly basis. A child may be removed from class if this becomes a problem
  • Hair needs to be kept out of children's faces. Long hair needs to be pulled back. Boys and girls with long bangs tied back with a barrette or swim cap. Do not use bobby pins to secure hair as they fall off and rust in the pool.
  • Do not allow children to enter pool with food or gum in their mouths
  • Remove all band-aids. If a wound is open and bleeding, other will be at risk due to blood-born pathogens. Please be considerate and use discretion with wounds that have not scabbed over.
  • If your child has a fever or a contagious disease, please stay home until the illness has resolved. If you are unsure, consult your doctor for the proper course of action.
  • Just as children learn to walk and talk at different rates, they will progress in swimming at their own pace. Please do not compare the progress of your child to that of other children. Praise even the smallest accomplishments. Let your children know you are proud of them!
  • Classes are taught in continous progession. The more sessions a child takes, the greater the retention, the safer the swimmer.
  • Classes are grouped as closely as possible, according to their students' age and ability.
  • Please read all signs posted on bulletin boards in the pool area for holiday closings, reminders and other pertinent information.
  • Constructive comments and concerns are always welcome, however, poolside conferences are discouraged. If you would like to have a conference or would like to leave a message for your child's instructor, please leave message with front office. Your instructor will respond promptly.
