Waterbabies Swim School began over twenty years ago in a backyard pool in Capistrano Beach. The intimate backyard environment was comfortable for both children and their parents and worked beautifully. In keeping with that tradition, Waterbabies Swim School has now built (2006) its new home pool in the beautiful backyard of an original 1926 Ole Hanson cottage in downtown San Clemente. Our new pool is saltwater, with an Ozone system to instantly kill bacteria. Our pool is heated year-round to a wonderful 92°. We have recently added a beautiful shade structure over the entire pool area, protecting our teachers, students and parents from harmful UV rays.
The Waterbabies Method
Our teachers utilize a proven curriculum and methodology to successfully work with all personalities of babies and children. We offer small class size, warm water, and an environment of playfulness that encourages the children to go beyond their perceived limits. Children receive individual attention in a positive learning environment filled with praise and love. At Waterbabies Swim School, we recognize that all children do not learn the same way, or progress in exactly the same timeline, or are even able to learn with the same teaching style. We have adapted our program to encourage teaching methods that include all learning styles and personalities. We offer small, semi- private classes, starting our babies at 5 months of age and continuing to completion with advanced stroke refinement. We offer classes from 9am-7pm, Monday – Saturday. Please send in a completed Registration packet with payment, and your child’s time request, along with his swim level, and we will call you to discuss all options available for his age and level. We do our best to find a time convenient for you, and optimal for your child in terms of age and swim ability. We will not keep payment if we are unable to find a time that works for you. We look forward to having you and your child become a part of theWaterbabies Family.
